To Janell Taylor, working for Permian Basin Counseling and Guidance as the Regional Director fulfills a lifelong goal of advocating for initiatives that increase mental health awareness and clinical resources. A native of southeastern New Mexico, Janell is thrilled to be doing this work in her hometown and the greater Permian Basin. She has experience in management, human resources, and customer relations through years of self-employment.

Janell received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Master of Science in Applied Psychology and Master of Social Work from Angelo State University.

In her role as Regional Director, Janell leads efforts to expand access to high-quality mental health care across southeastern New Mexico. She works closely with community partners, policymakers, and healthcare leaders to strengthen regional services, secure funding, and develop programs that address the unique needs of rural communities. Her focus includes shaping organizational policies, building collaborative networks, and advocating for sustainable growth in mental health resources.
